The plastic bed rail caps on the 4th Gen Tacoma don't fit correctly from the factory, with an unsightly gap that only gets worse with time. If you have noticed a gap at the front of the plastic caps, then these Gap Eliminators are for you.
When installing a bed rack, tonneau cover, or camper shell, the hollow bed rail caps are loaded on the inside edge, causing the outside to lift up and making the gap even worse.
I wanted to keep my tow hooks that came on my trailhunter but really wanted a bed step. Without this you would have to remove the tow hook to have a retractable bed step. With this it is possible and it works great!
